1. General presentation

1.1 Overview

Insurance covering court costs in connection with disputes relating to counterfeiting of IPR. The initiative is based on a co-operation project between Lloyd's and The Swedish Inventors' Association (Svenska Uppfinnareföreningen).

The insurance premium is dependent on the monetary value of the IPR to be insured as well as its geographical coverage. The coverage could range from e.g. EUR 1,250 (SEK 12,000) per year to EUR 105,000 (SEK 1 million).
